Top 10 Candy Buying Days
Shoppers appear to leave their Halloween candy purchases until almost the last minute. Nielsen's data shows that October 29 and April 15 (the day before Easter Sunday) were the top two days in terms of dollar sales in 2006. Halloween - - October 31 - - also ranks in the top ten.

The NH Farm to Restaurant Connection is pleased to announce that the acclaimed Restaurant at Sunset Hill in Sugar Hill, NH will be the site of the next Growers’ Dinner, scheduled for August 23, 2007.
The Growers’ Dinner event is a way introduce chefs and farmers to each other and build awareness of the great variety of NH products available, setting the stage for continued and expanded purchasing of locals foods long after the dinner event is over. The Growers’ Dinner is also a way to feature local foods to restaurant patrons.
Executive Chef Joseph Peterson of Sunset Hill House, will create and direct the menu and his team of four chefs for the evening. Peterson holds a degree from Johnson and Wales University, has been featured in Bon Appetit Magazine, and has won innumerable awards for fine dining at Sunset Hill House including “NH’s Very Best Spectacular Meal” (NH Magazine). He, and Innkeepers Lon and Nancy Henderson, are members of the prestigious Chaine des Rotisseurs food guild. The Restaurant at Sunset Hill also boasts Wine Spectator awards for the past two years.
This event has been in planning for over a year and will highlight the produce of Sugar Hill’s Turtle Ridge Farm.
Growers’ Dinner events are coordinated by the New Hampshire Farm to Restaurant Connection, a program linking New Hampshire farms with New Hampshire restaurants. The NH Farm to Restaurant Connection is a collaboration of an ever-growing group of organizations and individuals, including chefs and farmers (the organization was recognized by NH Magazine with a 2006 Best of New Hampshire Award in the Perfect Partnership category).
